How to erase an object from a photo
“Erase object” is the click-first version of remove. This page starts Select so you point instead of prompt.
Some objects are awkward to name: a weird stain, a random pole, a cup that is half off-frame. Clicking them is faster. Filvo’s Select mode outlines the region; inpaint fills it. Same tool as `/object-removal`, different default.

Select vs brush
Select is for a bounded thing: a chair, a bottle, a bird. Brush is for thin structures (wires) and marks that are not a single blob. You can outline, remove, then brush a leftover shadow.
Compare every time. An outline that includes sky and a lamppost will invent a strange fill. Smaller, tighter selections look more like the original scene.
